Mentor Young Girls by being a Coach with Girls on the Run

Warm-up your spirit fingers, lace up your sneakers and inspire a group of girls to be strong and healthy. Teams of volunteer coaches facilitate our easy to follow curriculum with groups of 8-15 girls over the course of 12 weeks. Amidst the conversation, laughter, hugs and energy awards, you will witness transformational change in the girls and don't be surprised if you realize that you are positively changing as well! The program may end in 12 weeks, but for our coaches and girls, the finish line is just the beginning. Ready to make a difference and encourage girls to realize their full potential?

Coaches are asked to commit to coaching two days a week (Monday and Wednesday or Tuesday and Thursday) at one of our sites in Shawnee County. Sessions are 75-90 minutes between 3:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. (times vary depending on site location.) Coaches are provided training on how to utilize our easy to follow curriculum and all the supplies you need are provided. Coaches are also asked to attend the celebration 5K on May 21, 2016.

The first step is signing up. Ready, Set, Coach.
