Alzheimer's Association - Heart Of America Chapter, Northeast Kansas Regional Office

Who We Are

We are the world's leading voluntary health organization in Alzheimer's care and the leading source of information, education, and support for millions of individuals, caregivers, and health care professionals dealing with Alzheimer's and related dementia disorders.

The Topeka Chapter (aka Heart of America Chapter) office was established in October of 1985 as a result of a local small group of concerned family members and professionals who were dealing with this disease on a personal level and recognized the need for information, family connections and emotional support as they cared for the individuals with Alzheimer's disease or a related dementia.

Our mission is to eliminate Alzheimer's disease through the advancement of research; to provide and enhance care and support for all affected; and to reduce the risk of dementia through the promotion of brain health.
